March 1:  Asked Emi how she wanted her hair today. She almost always says "uh, a pony tail". Today she said
"two sloppy ponytails"
Where does she get this stuff?

March 11:  A Ferrari commercial just came on and Em said "oooooh, Mommy, loooook at dat car! I luuuuuhvvve it!"

March 14:  Em: "Hey Mommy, finish my pat-ren: big, little, big, little, big...what comes next?"
Me: "little"
Em: "Little, yes. Thank you. Now: up, down, up, down, up, down...what comes next?"
Me: "up"
Em: "yes, up. Thank you. Good job, Mommy!"
She did another, to which I gave an incorrect answer, just to see if she actually knew or if she was just agreeing with me: "No, Mommy, not up. Try again."
Okay, so I had no idea she knew that much about patterns. She amazes me daily!

March 18:  Em is singing: "I totally rock...I toooootally raaaaaaa-ck!"

March 24:  Emiley's playing Barbies, which occurs almost never. The Barbies are driving tractors! Hahaha!

March 24:  "hey Mom, I gotta tell ya sumthin'"
"what is it, Emi?"
"Jesus loves me...and I super love Jesus!"

 Em's "two sloppy ponytails"

We went to visit the "baby cow" at Grandma and Grandpa's.  Em liked to look at her, but definitely did not want to touch her!

Crazy kid, eating ketchup with her fingers!

Playing in the church parking lot after a pork chop luncheon.

So glad to get to play outside!  This winter has been so mild and now in March, it's been in the 70s most days!  Can't complain about that!

Emiley is a really good helper!

This was the day of the Andrea Boes 5k to benefit the Relay for Life.  Em and KB rode in the stroller without any complaints the whole way!

There's that helper girl again!

Em got her sandbox from Great Grandma and Grandpa Riker for her second birthday.  She liked to play in it last year, but she'd always just stand or squat at the edge.  She never got in.  This year, she's all about getting in and sitting down so she can play hard!

March 19, I surprised Em by taking her to the circus in town.  She about jumped out of her skin she was so excited!  She had a great time, and even rode the elephant!

This was her favorite.  She was sitting on my lap and she kept whispering "wow!"

We got a new jungle gym!  Ha!
Jada came to stay for a while one evening.  Em was a little overbearing, I think.  She kept trying to drag her around to show her things, and Jada wasn't so sure about Em, but they eventually got into a good playing routine before Jada crashed!
March 24, I took the girls to McDonald's and Emiley insisted on going through the play place.  She's only ever been through one other time and that was when an older girl helped her through.  This day, Em went through about 3 times, no problem, but on the fourth time, she froze and started screaming and crying "I need help!  I need help!" and "I can't get down".  She didn't want to go down the slide, and I couldn't explain to her from the ground how to get back the way she came.  And of course, the only other child there for a while was another girl about her age!  Finally some older girls came in and I asked if they could help her out, and they did!  What a day!

That evening, we went down to my Uncle Jamie's for a cookout.  Em had fun throwing rocks into the pond.
She also went on a Gator ride.  I told her not to be falling for just any boy who offered her a ride on a John Deere, though!

Emiley kept calling the horses "cows".  She would not pet them, but she would feed them.  Doesn't make much sense, but we all know she's got her own set of rules!

Emi has also now decided (kind of like the sandbox) that sitting down in the bathtub is okay.  She even likes "swimming" in there now!

One day last week, we went down to Glendale with Lisa and the girls.  Nelleigh brought her old bike for Em to try.  Short Stuff is still just a smidge too small to reach both pedals to make it go, but she sure did like being pushed around on it!

Em and Nelleigh are pretty good buddies!

I've discovered that getting a good picture of both of my girls together is a bit of a challenge!

 Sweet, sweet sisters!

The first of probably many baths together!

Saturday was the GPC Easter egg hunt.  Em had a good time, but she didn't want a thing to do with that bunny again this year.  I don't blame her...there is something a little strange about a seven-foot-tall bunny!

And that, my friends, was the entire month of March in one post!  Shew!
