Ending August

August 28 at 1:04pm
even though I know I'm going to get a "terrible mother" award, I'll go ahead and say that sometimes Em rides in the back of the cart at Wal-Mart. Today she fell out. I took her to the ER to make sure she was okay. She's got a big goose egg and a swollen eye, she's sleepy, but she's fine. Needless to say, children should be buckled into the front of the cart at Wal-Mart...

"mom, my head hurts. Kiss it. Make better." I'm glad she thinks I can.
August 29 at 6:56pm Em looked at herself in the mirror and said, "my eye sleepin'" because it won't open.

Sometimes, Em just has to have messy hair.  She has been really fussy lately about letting me fix it.  She says it hurts and she starts to cry.
Em's finally decided to wear shoes, since she picked out these new ones.

A haircut and new shoes all in the same day!  It's really too bad, though, that she found out that Daddy was golfing that day and threw a fit because she wanted to golf with Daddy.

 Em likes Nan's new tub!

Any time we get anything for Nugget, Em is pretty sure that it's actually for her.  I guess she's just testing things out to make sure they're safe for her little brother/sister

Emiley had her surgery August 16th.  We were up bright and early at the hospital at 6am to start getting her ready for it.  She was given some "goofy juice" at 7:30 and by 7:40, she was completely loopy.  The surgery was quick and she was a sleepy head when it was all over, she was a little cranky and sleepy for the rest of the day, but was back to usual the next day.  She's had no problems (except for the dislike of the ear drops).

We had to put in a new hot water heater.  Em enjoyed the box, of course.

Em announced from the back seat of the truck one day the she was coloring babies.  She really did.  She was pretty proud.  Note to self...no crayons in the truck!

Em loves to eat "milk", which is known to the rest of the world as oatmeal, but really, it's her world...
She was having a rough night one night and this pretty much sums up the evening.
