Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

Friday (Completely original post title, right?)

Usually, Emiley still likes to be fed, unless she's having something easy to pick up, but tonight, I think she just did not want to wait, because she dug right into her applesauce. She used the spoon some, but mostly she just grabbed a handful and shoved it in.

After Daddy left for work, we headed outside to try out the new chair. Emiley thought it was fun.
(I just realized that this picture is totally the "pooping" face, but it was just the face...no poo...)

Emiley had a grand ol' time rocking in the chair. I was only a little worried that she'd tip it over.

I betcha Em walked around that chair 15 times before she got tired of it.

I kinda decided that I think the big strawberries are too distracting, but she's still cute!

Peek-a-boo!

Hunting crickets. Seriously. She was after one. Didn't get it.
(The dress was too much trouble...it's a longer one and she kept stepping on it when she bent down.)
"Can't we just take these undies off too, Momma?"

"Where's your belly, Em?" It's the only body part she knows.

Monday

Emiley wore this outfit last Halloween as her costume. Then when Halloween was over, I put it on one of her bears in her bedroom on top of her bookcase. Everyday Em reaches for it and says "da" (that), so this evening, I put it on. She enjoyed being called a "pretty fairy princess butterfly girl".

Probably my favorite!

Em was making this easy on me.
Do you love the lopsidedness of her little teeth? I do! It's adorable. Four on the right, two and two halves on the left.

Even "pretty fairy princess butterfly girl"s get their butts dirty when they play.
Every little "photo session" has to have a blooper. This one was actually at the very beginning and I thought it might have been a bad sign that Em wasn't going to leave the flower alone, but it wasn't!
Just playing on the bridge with some wings on my back and a flower on my head. Completely normal, right?

Meanness in those eyes! Haha!
Emiley will take steps if she thinks she absolutely MUST (or if she thinks you're not paying attention), but for the most part, if someone is just out of reach, she will fuss and reach out as far as she can until you just give in and let her grab you...or she'll just sit down.
Oh, finally we get to play in the rocks. Emiley has a serious obsession with rocks. I don't know what it is about them, but Em loves 'em.

She was trying really hard to climb over the pool cover to get to the rocks on the other side.

Seriously considering getting the girl a "rock box" (like a sand box, but with rocks instead). She would be in heaven.

And now, once again, we're all caught up. I could say that I'm going to do better with "real" updates, but ya know...that might be a lie. I do promise that there will be an update soon with actual words and not just photo captions.

Sunday

Emiley thinks her Daddy is hilarious. She loves to play games with him at the table.
Mmmmmm. Sunday evening, Emiley and I went to Bethel North for the Watermelon Festival to celebrate the 10th year of Bethel Mall.

I was across the field taking this picture, but I couldn't pass up taking a pic of Emiley playing ball with the big kids.
Emi and Grandpa taking a walk.
Here's another I shot from afar. Emiley sat and played ball and watched the big kids (and really big kids) play tug-of-war.
I don't guess Emiley was big enough to actually participate in the water balloon toss, but she did have a good time playing with the balloons.

Emiley stood at the cooler for a long time, trying to get another water balloon out to play with, but they were just too heavy.
Finally, someone got Em another water balloon.
We didn't stay really late because we had to get home and take a bath. I thought Em would head to bed semi-early, but she stayed up until 9:30. Silly girl is still trying to figure out how much sleep she needs during the day.

Saturday

Saturday morning, Daddy played in the 3rd Annual Travis J Burkhart Golf Scramble at Country Oaks (Momma and Emi went to Jasper), then that evening, we all headed back to Oaks to do some visiting, watch the mystery shot, and wait for awards and the band (we ended up not staying for it all because it was incredibly hot).
While the big people were talking, Em was looking for fun things to do...

Hmmm...eating a plastic bear sure sounded like a good idea.
Oh my, official documentation that Emiley actually can stand up on her own and not scream.

Emiley kept being a snob...she wouldn't give the man of the day a high five for anything, and she wouldn't go see anyone but Momma and Daddy.
It was so bright out that Emiley begged me for my sunglasses. I think she just did it to look cool.
