Winding down
The week after Christmas, Emi's daycare is always closed. Momma got to stay home from work three of those days, and the other two days, Emiley got to hang out with Alex!
The magna doodle is another Christmas gift that Emiley has really just loved. The girl may be an artist or a writer one day. We shall see!
In case you're not aware, Emiley is obsessed with cows. The girl can spot a cow from a mile away. She's also convinced that all animals make the sound "moooo". We'll work on that one day, but for now it's hilarious. Anyway, I found these cow slippers and thought she would love them. She only likes them for now.
Emiley got to go to work with Momma to a meeting for about an hour or so on Tuesday. This is the outfit she picked to wear. I told her to go get her shoes and she came back with these boots. She likes to make some fashion statements. At least she can pull them off.
When we got home, she needed to be a real cowgirl and ride the horse she got from Nan and Gramps.
Like always, Emiley always takes time for reading.
Emi's still sick with pneumonia, by the way, but she acts like it's really no big deal. She's gotten an antibiotic shot, one in each leg, the past two days, and she goes to get another one tomorrow. Poor kiddo!

Another Riker Christmas
The day after Christmas, we headed to Great Grandma and Grandpa Riker's for another celebration! Emiley had to keep her feet dry through the snow, so she wore her new boots!
Emiley had a good time showing off and playing!
Then she had a tea party with Keagan!

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's
We spent Christmas evening at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Miss Em decided to get a fever again and Daddy and Uncle Patrick went home to get some tylenol, but it had disappeared (luckily, Aunt Peggy saved us later) and Emi had little spots all over her tummy...so we changed her into some jammies and, as you can see from the pictures, she didn't act like she felt too bad. She had fun playing with Madison before it was time to open gifts.

Time for more spoiling...I mean, gifts!
A truck and rocks...the girl is so blessed!

Christmas Morning
Christmas morning, we slept in a bit, did a breathing treatment, then let Emi open gifts from Momma and Daddy. (No, we didn't do the whole Santa thing...she doesn't know.)
Before she even opened anything, she had to play with her kissy Elmo from Unkie Matt and Aunt Patty.
Emiley was thrilled to get crayons. Remember the marker on the hands bit? The crayons work much better! The crayons were probably actually Emiley's favorite gift. If only we had known, then we could have just spent two bucks! Just kidding!
Emiley had previewed this baby doll and thought it was great. She was excited to see her again on Christmas morning!
Her baby doll got a bed, so of course, Emi had to let the baby take a nap!
...another baby doll needed a nap too.

Christmas Eve at Nan and Gramps'
We went to celebrate Christmas Eve at Nan and Gramps' house. Emiley had a fun time opening gifts. She got a little bit spoiled, for sure. Then, she started running a little bit of a fever...boo...
(and we got some exciting news from those two...Emiley is going to have a little cousin in August!)

Pajama dance and Family Fun Night
Emiley thought dancing in her pajamas sounded like a great idea!
Her dancing clearly got a little wild and crazy.
Wednesday night was family fun night. Emiley wore her little Santa outfit.
Face painting, which happens to look like a bruise the next day, just FYI.
Oh, what a silly little girl!
