Where is your favorite place to go?  "Nanny's!"

Em always comes up with unconventional ways to use items.

I finished Kellcyn's blanket for her crib.  Em had to test it out to make sure it worked okay.
We took a little walk and played outside for one last time in 2011.

December 28:  Em, standing on her booster seat at Mi Pueblo: "it's da Emi show!" then busts into a song only she knows the words to...

December 31:  Em: "Hey, Mommy...umm...sometimes I just want some hugs!!"

Em's had a pretty busy week this week.  Daycare's been closed, so she's been being spoiled by various people.  Monday, she went to Grandma's and got the play with Madison.  Monday night, Nan picked her up and she spent the day at Nan's on Tuesday.  Wednesday, Em hung out with Daddy all day long.  Yesterday and today, Alex and Kyle came out to watch Em here.
Last night we had the last of our Christmas's with the Riker bunch.  We're worn out this morning, or at least this Momma is...

 I think Em's going to be a pretty good big sister.  She just adores taking care of her babies.  I think that there might be a little tiny bit of an attention issue though.  When Momma was holding and playing with Atticus the other day, Little Miss thought she needed to sit right on top of Momma too.  Understandable.  She's been the one and only for two and a half years!  I'm thinking, and hoping, that she'll adjust to little sis pretty quickly.

For whatever reason, Em loves to wear my name tag around and say, "Look, I'm Mommy!"

 Even with an age gap, Em and Nelleigh are great buddies and play really well together.

 This was Em helping to pass out gifts, by laying right in the middle of the path.

 I think she loves SpongeBob from Uncle Jeff and Aunt Barb.  Actually, she said, "I love my PungeBob!....My PungeBob loves me too!"

Grandma and Grandpa got Em a princess tent for Christmas.  I put it together for her yesterday after work.  She was pretty excited when she figured out, about halfway through, what it was.  "Mom!  A tent!  A tent, Mom!  A tent!"  Toss in the princess beanbag chair from Aunt Alisha and Uncle Patrick and Gwen and she was in heaven!

 Today we got some snow!  It's only the second snowfall here for the winter, and the first one, the snow was all melted by the time I picked Em up from school, so this is the first time she's been out to play in it!  She had fun, but it didn't take too much convincing to get her to come back inside because it was cold.  She enjoyed eating the snow.  She said, "Mom, it's so tasty.  It tastes like...snow!"

Now we can be done with the snow for another year or so!

Em's been obsessed with getting hats out lately for herself and everything else to wear.  Silly goof!

 We celebrated Grandpa's "dirtday" Friday night with pizza at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

We sure did have a Merry Christmas.  We started off on Christmas Eve afternoon by heading down to Nan and Gramps' house, then went to Great Grandpa's for a short while before Christmas Eve service.  Em had a long day that day, and finally wound down around 10:30pm.

 Atticus Jude is such a big boy!  He's already up to Short Stuff's shoulders.  He's going to pass her up and give her a run for her money in no time!

 Emi just loves her new camera!

 Staying up late Christmas Eve meant a little bit of sleeping in on Christmas day!  Pair that with permission from Marvin to wear pajamas to church Sunday morning, and you've got it made!  We came home from church and let Em open up gifts for Jesus's birthday!

 I do believe her favorite thing of the morning was her little purse in her stocking that had "pretty lips" (chapstick) in it!  She had to try out every flavor and put some on Mommy and Daddy as well.

 Em decided to have a little dance party yesterday afternoon!

 We ended Christmas celebrating at Grandma and Grandpa's house!  Em had fun passing out gifts and checking everything out.  She'd gone nap-less all day and crashed on the way home.  Great Christmas!
