Since we can't get soy yogurt anymore, we've been letting Em try regular yogurt again. She clearly loves it. She keeps saying "Daddy's yogi?" as she eats it.No rash or sickies yet!

Emiley got another "owie". She ran into the corner of a table.

Daddy's determined that Em will one day be a golfer...he's pretty much given up on Momma picking up the game.

Friday, February 18, 2011

Emiley was putting all her babies to "nigh nigh".

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Emiley crashed on the couch watching "Up" and lovin' on "Baby", which is one of at least half a dozen or so that she owns. She always has at least one by her side. They are all lovingly named "Baby".

21 months

Today Em is 21 months old!  In three months, we'll have a two year old in the house.  I don't think we're ready for that!  It was gorgeous outside today.  68 degrees.  I didn't have to ask Emi twice if she wanted to go out to play!

There's just something about this last picture that makes my heart go pitter-patter.
Just a few words on Miss Em at 21 months...
Talks up a storm.  Not kidding.  She's constantly labeling things.  Momma.  Daddy.  Nose.  Horse.  Cow.  Dog.  Yogi.  If she doesn't know what it's called, she'll ask, "Dis?" and do her darndest to repeat whatever it is.
Instead of "Daddy", she always says "Da-dees".
Likes to know who things belong to.  Will point at something and ask "Momma's?" or "Mine?"  Likes to claim items as hers, if they don't really have an owner.
Says "waties" for "water".  I love it.  She calls my Pepsi Max "Momma waties".
Has been eating like food is going out of style.  She's a growin' girl, I guess.
Loves to pick out her own food from the cabinet.
Mickey Mouse Club House is probably her favorite thing in the world.  Always asks for "Mou Mouse."
Loves to wear "boots"
Says "ess-koh" for "Let's go" and it's complete with the flip of the wrist over her shoulder.
"Myou me" = "excuse me", which she evidently picked up at daycare.
Loves her baby dolls and loves to give them bah-bahs and blankies and "bossy".
Likes to do stickers and color on paper.
Knows a lot of body parts...nose, eyes, ears, mouth, tongue, teeth, belly, feet, toes, hands, fingers, hair, arms, legs, cheeks...sometimes chin and elbows.
Always on the go.
Starting to get more generous with hugs and kisses.
Today she's queen of the slide, because she's 21 months old...just 3 short months until she's TWO.I think back to this fall when she was unsteady and unsure of the slide. Let me tell ya, a LOT has changed.
Big kid.

V-Day Cards

We spent about 30 minutes trying to get a good picture for Valentine's Day Cards.  We got a lot of cuties!

Finishing up V-Day

I think Emi had a good time at her Valentine's day party at school.  The caregivers said that she had a blast tearing open her cards from her friends, but only after cautiously peeking over the top of the bag to see what was inside.
When we got home, she had to have a snack.  She thinks she's something else, getting to choose her own snack out of the cabinet.
I let her have some sugar.  She ate every last bit of that sucker.

Then she was all hyped up on the sugar for a little while and couldn't keep her tongue from dancing.

This picture cracks me up.  I was playing around with the settings on the camera, so it's a terrible quality picture, but I turned around and she had this terrified look on her face.
